So it has come to this, I have started a blog. Having long been a reader and admirer of web blogs, this is something I have been considering for a while now. Blogs have taught me some great stuff over the years, things that have actually helped me get employed. Then there is all the news that I have read first on blogs, and all those otherwise unknown trick bits that have earned me kudos when relayed to my peers. But despite all this, the decision to start my own blog has not been easy.

Firstly my general laziness and lack of commitment makes me doubt how often I shall be able to update this thing. Then there is my self consciousness, with all the great blogs out there, who would want to read my misguided rants? Also the sheer volume of blogs on the web makes me wonder whether another one is a good idea. On July 31, 2006, Technorati tracked its 50 millionth blog, that was a year ago now. With all these bloggers blogging away, is there anybody left out there to read them? Is yet another blog really going to benefit anybody?

However, as somebody who builds web sites all day for other people. And spends the majority of his spare time reading web sites built by other people. I am starting to feel a little left out. So for better or for worse, the decision has been made. This is my blog!
